Choreographer

Alicia discovered her curiosity towards choreography while attending the contemporary program at the Alberta Ballet School, making short dance films that would later premier at the Decidedly Jazz Dance Theater. It was only during her studies in New York that she was able to dive further into her choreography under the direction of Elizabeth Motley and Katie Langan. After graduating, she became a Sidra Bell Dance Company Fellow working on a commission for Derek Fordjour presented at the Petzel Gallery, the creation and production of Communion in collaboration with Immanuel Wilkins, and RETURN TO FORM an immersive archival installation and performance at the Greenburgh Public Library.
